Monastery of A Magdalena

This 13th-century Augustinian monastery sits right on the Camino route, at the exit of town. It still operates as a pilgrim hostel and has a beautiful Gothic cloister. You can visit the church and get your first credential stamp here.

Sarria Castle (Tower of Sarria)

Only the tower remains of the medieval fortress, but it offers fine views over the town and the Sarria River valley. It sits at the top of the old town.

Church of San Salvador

A 13th-century church in the old quarter with Romanesque features. Look for the carved capitals on the exterior.

Rúa Maior (Main Street)

The pedestrianised old street running downhill from the castle to the river. Lined with cafés, pilgrim supply shops, and traditional stone buildings.
